Mary Help of Christians
Catholic Church, Sawtell

Sawtell Church underwent a major renovation which included removal of the front façade to make way for the new entry and disable access.

The entry features local Hardwood columns and Beams with new custom made entry doors and windows. The recycled Ironbark columns accent the beauty of the Bell Tower which gives the church it’s beachside charm.

Inside, the original trusses were exposed and restored to their original splendour and coated with natural stain to further enhance the cathedral like ceilings.

A quiet space was added for young children, as well as, a modern kitchen with a coffee machine for after church functions. The new extensive covered outdoor area is ideal for social gatherings.

The church now has in place a modern interactive audio visual system bringing it into the 21st Century while maintaining the quaint beach village church appeal.

Sealy Lookout, Bruxner Park

Sealy Lookout Picnic Shelter is situated 5km from Coffs Harbour in the Bruxner Park Flora Reserve(310 above sea level).

This cleverly designed shelter was conceived by architect, Steve Gorrell and Forestry NSW, Special Project Coordinator, Justin Black.

The structure was craftsman built off site using locally sourced timber from Coffs Harbour Hardwoods, transported to site and erected.

The bracing elements reflect how limbs of trees attach to trunks.
